Endocrinology is the branch of medicine that focuses on hormones and the glands that produce them, which play a vital role in regulating many of your body’s functions.

An endocrinologist diagnoses and treats hormone-related conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), osteoporosis, and problems with the adrenal or pituitary glands.

Dr Lau aims to provide comprehensive, personalised care to help you manage these conditions effectively and improve your overall health and well-being.

Obstetric medicine is a specialised area of healthcare that focuses on the medical care of women with complex health conditions during pregnancy, childbirth, and the post-partum (after delivery) period.

It bridges the gap between internal medicine and obstetrics, helping to manage conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and other medical issues that may arise or worsen during pregnancy.

The goal is to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby by providing personalised, expert care throughout the entire pregnancy journey.

If you have pre-existing health concerns or develop new medical issues while pregnant, an obstetric medicine specialist can work closely with your obstetrician and other medical specialists to keep you and your baby safe and healthy.
